CONTAINER REST-BAR

The plot is very narrow, uphill and full of olive trees. The "front" of the plot is narrow and adjacent to a provincial coastal road. Next to this street is the seafront. The client wants a building around 90 square meters that will accommodate the following functions: service area, kitchen, storage, WC. The building designed to be prefabricated, using containers and be transported on the island for assembly and completion. We need three containers, that, with the proper assembly give us the spaces you need. The containers are placed in parallel cams to create recesses and protrusions necessary for our functions. Containers are encapsulated with a thermal facade and white plaster. That is how the structure meets the architectural specifications of the area while protecting the building from heat. Traditional wooden shutters are placed in the openings to complete the architectural design and contribute to security needs when it is closed. Where allowed, we reveal the skin of the container. The construction data incorporates planting to create a cooling microenvironment. The whole construction is shaded by a large four-pitched roof with holes in suitable places so that some light and the necessary rainwater for the plants pass.
